TOOLOX is an exciting new tool steel which draws heavily on the experience gained by SSAB Oxelösund AB
in developing their successful HARDOX wear plate.

TOOLOX is supplied pre-hardened with guaranteed physical properties. Each plate is
individually tested for hardness, toughness and homogeneity.

Residual stresses are exceptionally low so movement after machining
is minimal and its high cleanliness (close to ESR) makes it
ideal for polishing and etching.

These valuable properties reduce risk, lower costs and
shorten the time taken for tool production.

TOOLOX is available in two grades: TOOLOX33 with a
hardness of 300HBW and TOOLOX44 at 45HRC. Both are ideal
for nitriding and/or coating.
